Top 10: Injustice Playable Characters

Welcome back to another review on 'Stories of Entertainment'.

Time for another Top 10 list with characters, though I'll be changing a few things up here. As of now, we're under two months away from the release of 'Injustice: Gods Among Us' for the Xbox 360 and PS3. As a DC fighting game, its expected to have a lot of recognizable characters be brought to the forefront. Still, there are some characters that I wouldn't mind having as part of the game. I've got a list of 10 characters that I would like to be playable in the game. Here are the ground rules:

  1. The current cast of playable characters (by this date) are: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Harley Quinn, The Joker, Lex Luthor, Bane, Solomon Grundy, Doomsday, Green Arrow, Deathstroke, Catwoman, Cyborg, Nightwing, Shazam, Aquaman.
  2. I will be including characters that are suggested to appear, but not sure of what capacity (either as a cameo or playable).
  3. This is purely within the DC universe, not guest characters from other franchises like Watchmen or Judge Dredd
  4. This list is on characters that I personally want to be part of the playable roster, with #1 being my top pick.

Okay, with the rules out of the way, enjoy the trailer before jumping right into my Top 10 Injustice Characters I want Playable.
(Shit is hitting the proverbial fan here)

10. Caitlin Fairchild
Kicking off the list is the beautiful bombshell of the Wildstorm universe, Caitlin Fairchild. Considering that DC has officially merged the Wildstorm universe into the main DC universe, I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of Wildstorm heroes as playable characters. Caitlin would be interesting to say the least, since I haven't see too many fighting games where there was such a physically dominate female fighter on par with super heavyweights (in this case, Solomon Grundy and Bane) while still being very attractive. This may turn some people off, which I can understand to a point, but its something to at least try.

In any case, I would have a bit of difficulty trying to figure out which side she would fit in, either New Regime or the Resistance. Gameplay should be interesting, considering she is supposed to be incredibly strong and intelligent. I wouldn't know what to do with it myself, so she gets a bit lower on the list because of it.

9. Captain Atom
I could see the good captain being a part of the roster pretty easily, especially concerning his flight, super strength, and atomic energy. As part of the story, he could be serving alongside the New Regime as one of its top enforcers, since he is a soldier and would dutifully serve his leader as best as possible. While he does put his orders first and foremost, I wouldn't find it unbelievable to have him work for the resistance, especially considering how tyrannical the regime is and the fact that he was trained to fight against such terror.

Gameplay-wise, I don't think it would be too hard to incorporate his atomic powers, especially since he can adjust the wavelengths for different effects. He could temporarily slow done his opponent through some atomic punches or hit them with a blast that knocks them over. For his supermove, he might unleash enough energy at close range to mimic a nuclear explosion, minus the radiation effects, of course.

8. Magog
Magog was originally designed as everything bad about the Nineties anti-hero genre, all wrapped up inside one golden package. As much hate that gets thrown around thanks to this guy, you can't help but feel sorry for him at times. In his first appearance as part of the Kingdom Come Elseworlds tale, he was the new representative for heroes during a time by killing the Joker, who at the time killed everyone in the Daily Planet (not too far of from this game's story now, right?) Dubbed 'The New Man of Tomorrow', he started a new age of more violent superheroing, leading to the destruction of Kansas in one fight.

If DC wants to reboot this guy and make him more enjoyable, start here. Have him be sorta like the new poster boy of the New Regime, but get tired of it and start listening to the people for a change. He would end up joining the Resistance with Batman and taking the fight straight to Superman. I wouldn't mind seeing him wielding his power staff along with some heavy equipment like a gatling gun. It would make for an interesting shout-out to the Nineties.

7. Sinestro
Sinestro has been rather synonymous with the Green Lantern lore and if a Green Lantern is going to be duking it out in Injustice, so should Sinestro. This is especially since the Green Lantern would be Hal Jordan, who was previously trained by Sinestro and both have been enemies of the other. While Green Lantern has his green ring of willpower, Sinetro wields the yellow ring of fear. This could make for some interesting constructs for Sinetro, considering his alien origin and several years of experience as a Green Lantern.

This would be especially interesting since recent videos and screens have Hal Jordan sporting the yellow ring of fear instead of his trademark green ring. We can assume that he's switched corps, but Sinestro probably wouldn't be too happy seeing Hal as part of his corps. Maybe Hal would beat him out of it and force Sinestro to don the green ring once more? A bit far-fetched, but I could hear worse reasons.

6. Raven
We already have former Teen Titan members Nightwing and Cyborg, so why not Raven? Being the daughter of a demonic conqueror makes a good character and her portrayal in the Teen Titans animated series has earned her plenty of fans, so it seems like a good choice. Since she would be doing her best to prevent her evil father from taking over the world, she could easily join the side of the New Regime if it meant for safety and stability.

Raven is sort of an interesting character in the game, since her comic book powers mostly have her as an empath. That wouldn't really translate well into a video game unless you take into account of her abilities in the animated series. She had some telekinesis, flight, and some useful magic at her finger tips, which would help her greatly in a fighting game. Here's hoping she is more than just a cameo appearance.

5. Zatanna
Zatanna has kinda been one of the best representations of magic in the DC universe. The daughter of the magician Zatara, Zatanna uses magic by speaking backwards (most of the time, as she is capable of non-verbal spells as well). She is ranked on par with the likes of Captain Marvel (or 'Shazam' in the Injustice Game), so she should make for an interesting character. she would probably stick with Batman and the Resistance, serving as the magical equivalent to 'Shazam' on the Regime side.

Combat-wise, I expect her to be partially trained in some combat, using gestures for some simple attacks and using her backwards magic for more powerful special abilities. She could really get a kick out of her supermove if she utilized her full magical potential.

4. Black Adam
Black Adam is a pretty interesting villain, and I'm not even sure if I can say that about him. His behavior and actions have been rather complex at times, before just wanting all the power of SHAZAM. In recent history, he has gotten a good backstory about wanting to protect his past homeland, albeit rather aggressively and without mercy. Still, he did have some good reasons to do so and his people did seem better off with him than their dictator (whom Black Adam killed) and as such, view him as their personal hero.

While his powers are quite similar to Captain Marvel, they come from the Egyptian Gods, so it might add for some interesting visuals in terms of his fighting style and abilities. Story-wise, if Captain Marvel joined the New Regime, then Black Adam would be joining the Resistance, either to get the powers of SHAZAM once more or to protect his homeland from the New Regime's power. Either way should work fine.

3. Power Girl
This needs to go beyond simply Reasons #1 and #2. I think she could have been a pretty good role model for girls if some of the writers did a good job in her stories. She is one of the few superheroes I've seen who has most of their shit together both in their superhero and civilian identity. While most people would view her as a sexual superhero icon (her and several others), I still think she hasn't gotten everything that she has deserved.

So, what do I think she can bring into the game? Again, a different variation on Superman's moveset, sorta like what they did with Frost to Sub-Zero. Maybe focus on more of her physical power and speed rather than heat vision and ice breath or the like. Story-wise, she has kind of deviated from the idea of 'ends justify the means' sort of shtick, and would probably end up on the Resistance side to oppose Superman. A bit flimsy, but I'm sure there are others who could put up a better idea than myself.

2. Grifter
I'm just glad he is actually part of the DC universe now and, thinking about how popular he is around this time, it would be a good idea to include him into the roster. Sure, we have some characters who rely on guns as part of their repertoire, all Grifter needs is a pair of handguns and some minor telekinetic abilities. His look makes him standout quite a bit among the rest of the cast and can be opened to be tweaked slightly while keeping the overall look intact.

Normally, you can expect Grifter to be working for the government in some manner, especially for the New Regime. Still, I wouldn't put it past them if it was decided to have him be a part of the Resistance with Batman. A toss-up, really, but again, nothing I'm too bothered with...

and the number one character I want to be playable in "Injustice" is...

1. Manchester Black
This is a bit obscure, at least for those who haven't heard of 'Superman VS the Elite' or 'What's so Funny about Truth, Justice, and the American Way?'. Manchester Black is a telepath and telekinetic who played ball with Superman and his ideas, becoming an extreme anti-hero of sorts who was willing to kill by any means necessary to keep the bad guys down. Its a pretty interesting character, to say the least, and I'm kinda bummed out that we don't see him as often, even with the new reboot. Still, I think he would fit right into the 'Injustice' game.

While you can debate whether he would join the New Regime to take it to the bad guys or work for the Resistance to oppose Superman as the dictator he kinda is, Manchester Black's moveset would be very reflective of his 'no holds' use of telekinetic might. Smashing an opponent on the ground, twisting them around like a pretzel: think of him as the answer to MK's Ermac. It helps that he is pretty recognizable and distinguishable from the rest of the heroes and villains (especially with that Union Jack tattooed to his chest).

So yeah, this is my Top 10 list of Characters I want Playable in the 'Injustice' game. Hope you enjoy it and be looking forward to posting my review for the game itself awhile after it comes out.

Until next time...

Top 10: Mortal Kombat Characters

Welcome to another post on 'Stories of Entertainment'.

October has finally come and Halloween will be here soon enough. Best time of the year  to watch horror movies, ranging from subtle to shock and gore. Of course, this post isn't with subtle but instead lots and lots of gore. This is the month for Mortal Kombat!

(Just seeing the image would make you think of the theme song)

For this month, I'll be looking at some of my personal favorite characters from the series, as well as get a look at the story of MK's recent installation, Mortal Kombat 9.

For this list, there are a few guidelines I'm following:
1. These are my personal favorites, not the best overall.
2. I'll be looking at their backstory, character design, movesets, and pick my favorite fatality out of their set.
3. All these characters are pre-Mortal Kombat 9 (which is basically a reboot of the entire series, so most characters would be left out)

With that out of the way, time to get this list started:

10. Kano

(New meaning to the phrase 'evil eye')

The boss of the criminal organization, the Black Dragon, Kano is the kind of guy you don't expect a fair fight out of. Dangerous with knives and wielding a laser eye, Kano was among the first Mortal Kombat characters ever introduced in the series. He's had a longstanding rivalry with Special Forces member, Sonya Blade (see that thing he carries around his neck? Its a lock of Sonya's hair), as well as Jax and Red Dragon member Mavado. He's an Aussie you don't want to mess with.

His moveset is interesting, for starters. Aside from using knives and that laser eye, he's got an air roll that allows him to fly across the board and knock his opponents silly. Think Blanka from 'Street Fighter' to see what I mean. He's mostly known for his fatality of ripping out a person's heart, but there is another fatality that just speaks to me even more:
(Why rip out just the heart when you can take their entire skeleton?)

9. Bo' Rai Cho
(The 'teacher' of the MK universe)

Its alright for you to first think that Bo' Rai Cho would be considered useless, but not to me. Aside from being a teacher to one of Earthrealm's greatest fighters (Liu Kang), he's a strong fighter in his own right. Despite being from Outworld, he's a good guy who can get on the fun side if he wants. His overweight appearance hides his cunning and use of his weight that can throw off most opponents. Some people may take him as a joke, but he doesn't mind.

His moveset fits his appearance rather well. He mostly relies on Sumo techniques and the unpredictable Drunken Boxing style. His stomp can pop his opponent into the air and he has weaponized his puke to throw off his opponent's balance. While he doesn't have that many fatalities to his name, there is one that brings a classic fatality to mind:
(The dangers of mixing alcohol and fire, put to the extreme)

8. Cyrax
(Also known as Mustard to the MK crew)

One of the few robots in the MK universe, Cyrax stands out as the only one to turn good in the end. Having been turned into a cyborg by the ninja clan, the Lin Kuei, Cyrax has been working to try and regain his humanity that was taken from him. He ended up joining the forces of Good in the form of the Special Forces. While he has managed to recover his human soul, he still remains a partially robotic fighter.

Course, being a robot has given him some usefully abilities. Among his most notable are his series of bombs, a set of energy nets, a laser sword (yes, he has one), and the ability to teleport by coming apart and pulling himself back together again. His chest houses most of his weapons, including a massive buzz-saw that can cut up his opponent. Speaking of his chest...
(Not enough to get slammed repeatedly, but then put through the meat grinder)

7. Kabal
(Turns out that he was created from a contest. Weird, eh?)

Looking like the cross between a Predator and a burn victim, Kabal is definetly more than meets the eye. He was once a member of the Black Dragon criminal organization before turning good during Shao Kahn's invasion. After being ambushed and left for dead by Mavado, Kabal was helped by a cleric of Chaos named Havik. He soon returned to his evil ways, reforming the Black Dragon and becoming a true force of chaos upon the Earth. Not back for a guy who has been badly injured.

He does have some of the more stranger abilities in the MK universe. Aside from wielding his signature hookswords, he can also run fast enough to make his opponents spin, shoot energy blasts from his mask, and somehow summon sawblades from the ground. He sure loves his hookswords, though.
(Ouch. Just...ouch)

6. Johnny Cage
(Complete with 500-dollar sunglasses)

Its hard not to like Johnny Cage for his shear ridiculousness. A Hollywood actor with special abilities that most people figure are just special effects, Johnny Cage has been working as a force for good on Earth. While he may be a jerk at times, his heart is in the right place. Still, it doesn't stop him from being the butt monkey of the group, usually on the receiving end of a beat down most of the time. That ego of his hasn't exactly deflated throughout the years and it doesn't show signs of slowing down.

His powers, at least from what I've seen, deal with 'shadow energy'. It allows him to launch himself forward and lob energy balls at his opponent. Still, what most people associate with him is his famous nut punch. Johnny Cage does the splits just so he can punch someone in nuts. Its as hilarious as it sounds. There are times when it can be taken to the extreme, of course...

(Its at this point you're glad stuff like this can't happen in real life.)

5.Reptile
(Guess why he has that name?)

One of the last surviving members of a race called the Saurian, Reptile has been in the MK universe since the very beginning as a secret boss. Since then, while he's been made into a playable character, he has somewhat been turned into a butt monkey himself. He often gets screwed out of deals, being manipulated like hell, or just being used as a punching bag for the good guys. It may not be too hard to sympathize with him, but the fact that he'll just as quickly fight you as eat you, its better to keep a safe distance from this character.

Befitting his name and appearance, Reptile's abilities come from different species of reptiles. He can turn invisible, similar to a chameleon blending into its environment, as well as use his corrosive saliva to spit at enemies or fire powerful blasts. That same saliva is capable of eating through human flesh in moments if using quite a lot of it. Speaking off...

(Quite nasty)

4. Jade
(Ma'am.)

Like Reptile, Jade was once a bonus boss, this time for Mortal Kombat 2. Unlike Reptile, she is an Edenian along with the likes of Kitana and Sindel (Edenians aren't some Amazonian race, though they do provide a lot of the female cast) In any case, Jade has been a loyal friend to Kitana through thick and thin, helping out the forces of good whenever she can. Despite being utterly ruthless in battle, she is capable of a sincere and sometimes sarcastic personality. Besides, I didn't feel like making this entire list a sausage fest.

Jade tends to be thought of as a walking armory of sorts, since she has been known to mostly use weapons in the MK cast. Though she does have some magic that helps her deliver flying kicks and let projectiles pass through her, Jade utilizes razor sharp boomerangs and a special staff. By 'special', I mean the staff is often used to impale her opponents. For example...

(Just need a few more heads and she would have a complete set.)

3. Smoke
(Where to begin with Smoke?)

First appearing in the second Mortal Kombat, Smoke has had a very interesting history. He was once playable as just a regular ninja, like Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Then he ends up being unwillingly turned into a cyborg by the Lin Kuei. Since then, he's been flipping around between good and evil, eventually setting on good in the end. At that time, he's somehow become a nanite-infused smoke cloud (from what I'm getting at) who still has access to his smoke abilities through said nanites. Its been a confusing life for Smoke.

Naturally befitting his name, Smoke has a few smoke-based powers aside from the usual technology associated with cyborgs in the MK universe. This just amounts to a teleporting uppercut and the ability to turn invisible. Among his cybernetic gadgets is a trident that flies out his chest and impales people. (What fun)
Of course, there are his fatalities to take into consideration.

(No kill like overkill)

2. Sub-Zero
(New meaning to 'cold shoulder)

Surprisingly, Sub-Zero has actually been two different people (brothers who have used the same name). The Elder Sub-Zero died at the hands of Scorpion, but his younger brother took up the name after his parting. Seeing what the Lin Kuei was becoming, the younger Sub-Zero left the clan and became a force for good. He ended up rebuilding the clan into a more honorable group than what it was before. It has not been an easy life, with attacks from the ghostly specter Noob Saibot (actually his brother brought back to life) and the selfish Frost (another Cryomancer like the Sub-Zero brothers).

Not surprisingly, Sub-Zero has the ability to manipulate the cold. This comes in a variety of effects, like freezing people with an ice ball or using the ice to slide across the ground. He can also create ice clones that, upon being struck, freeze the attack as if an ice ball struck them. Of course, there have been some fatalities where the cold powers came in handy. In the first game however...

(You can pinpoint the moment when the ESRB was formed)

1. Scorpion
(The original Hellspawn)

What is there to say about Scorpion? He's become the main icon for Netherrealm Studios (he's on their logo) and has become one of the few re-occurring characters to be in every major Mortal Kombat game. After being slain by the Elder Sub-Zero, Scorpion came back as a specter for revenge. Over time, he has managed to fight alongside the Younger Sub-Zero and discover the killer of his ninja clan, Quan Chi. He;s been on the hunt for the sorceror since and refuses to give up. As a vengeful spirit, it is doubtful that Scorpion will every find peace in his afterlife.

As always, some of his moves are befitting that of a Hellspawn. He can teleport to deliver a fiery punch, summon hellfire from beneath his opponent, or perform a backflip that leaves behind hellfire. His iconic move is his throwing spear, shouting "GET OVER HERE!" as he launches it towards his opponent and reels them in like a big catch. Then there are his fatalities.

(Toasty.)

...and that would be my Top 10 Favorite Mortal Kombat characters. Next time, I'll be looking at 'Mortal Kombat 9' and wonder what to expect from the reboot of the series.

Until next time...

Top 10: Favorite LoL Champions

Welcome to another post of 'Stories of Entertainment'.

Dear god, do I have an addiction to free to play MMO, 'League of Legends'.

Brief history check: 'League of Legends' was developed by Riot Games, with former DOTA (Defense Against the Ancients) designer Steve 'Guinsoo' Feak and former DOTA administrator Steven 'Pendragon' Mescon. Using the base of DOTA as a launching point, 'League of Legends' was born and soon released in October of 2009. As of now, it has a fanbase of millions all over the world, competing for prestige and pleasure.

One of the features I like about the game is it's robust champion selection. As of now, there are over 90 different champions to select from. For this post, I'm counting down to my Top 10 Favorite 'League of Legends' Champions.

Now, let me explain the rules for this specific list:
1. This deals with champions up to the release of Lulu, the Far Sorceress.
2. These are all personal picks, not an official list.
3. I'm focusing more on character design and back story, NOT gameplay.
4. Also, character design would be based on their original skin, NOT alternate skins.
5. This is just for fun and shouldn't be taken too seriously.

10. Brand, the Burning Vengeance
"Anger management classes won't touch this guy"
Kicking off this list is a guy who puts new meaning to the phrase 'short fuse'. Brand's background makes him an interesting villain, since I doubt a name like that would inspire heroism. Its confirmed that he is a spirit that deals with fire and destruction, though its exact origins makes him hard to pin in the timeline. Is he a slain warrior during the Rune Wars, or is he something far more vicious and destructive? Hard to really say.

As for design, I'm a sucker for the 'rock-body-and-volcanic-veins' look. It fits the character just right for his fire theme. The pants stand out a bit and make me question why a personification of destruction would want to wear pants. Probably for modesty's sake.

9. Riven, the Exile
"How could this happen to me? I made my mistakes..."
Riven is quickly becoming one of my favorite female champions, having recently gotten into the Top 10. Her story is one of sadness and loyalty. As a Noxian, he quickly grew through the ranks with her strength and skill with a massive longsword. During one invasion, she was so disgusted by her fellow Noxian's tactics, she fled the army and broke her sword, severing her ties to Noxus. While she believes in the ideals of her former nation, she plans to reform it and put an end to its corruption.

Her design fits her character well, having become a traveler and wanderer for quite a while now. Torn and lopsided armor, with a tanned skin and white hair, helps make her stand out with the other female champions. Her sword, while still broken, is quite capable of slaying her foes still, especially once its magical properties reforge itself once more in combat.

8. Viktor, the Machine Herald
 "Dude's got a killer high-five."
Viktor is proof how pursuing science can lead to unfortunate ends. However, his current life was caused due to lack of recognition and inventions being stolen. After that incident, he decided to shed himself of his organic part and become full machine. He's a reverse Pinocchio of sorts, rather than become more human, he became more machine. A bit tragic, but still very threatening.

His design combines a sleek look not usually seen in scientists, plus different obvious augmentations to his body through 'hextech'. For added strangeness, he has a third, mechanical arm sticking out of his back that fires out a laser beam from its palm. Truly, Viktor is a sight to behold.

7. Skarner, the Crystal Vanguard
"Was last seen in 'God of War 3' as a boss"
Skarner is from a race of crystal beings hiding beneath the earth, using magic to fuel their lifestyle. However, the Rune Wars started to quickly kill off this race, forcing them to hibernate beneath the ground till it was safe for them to rise once more. Skarner is, like his title says, the vanguard of the his race. His combination of ferocity in combat and intelligence makes him a hard, yet interesting, character to watch in action.

His design is, of course, based on a crystallized scorpion. However, its the combination of such 'cool' colors, like purple and blue, that make him seem so calming, despite his ferocious appearance. His bright, yellow eyes show that mystical quality in his race and one fitting for such a creature.

6. Nautilus, the Titan of the Depths
"Even above the surface, he just can't escape from the water"
Nautilus' story is one of the more tragic ones among all of the champions. Once a sailor investigating a mysterious black liquid in the ocean, he was grabbed by liquid and pulled into the depths of the sea. The tragedy of this tale is that his own crew condemned him to this fate, having feared that the black liquid would claim them all as well. Now risen once more in such horrid armaments, Nautilus seeks to punish the people who let him sink to the bottom of the sea.

The diving suit of Nautilus has become rather rusted, no doubt by the time spent in the sea. Around his joints seem to be glowing blue lines and his head only revealed blackness, with two searchlight-like eyes as the only identifying markers of his face. His weapon was an anchor, used against him by his crew, and now used to exact his revenge. All that sorrow and misery, bounded in rusted metal and darkness.

5. Wukong, the Monkey King
 "Funny, he doesn't look 'stoned'"
While some champions have been inspired by legends and myths, Wukong is taken right out of the Chinese mythology, being based on Sun Wukong, a powerful monkey icon. This champion's story isn't too much different, having been a warrior named Kong in the jungle, who sought to fight the strongest in the world. He eventually met another champion named Master Yi, a powerful swordsman. He agreed to be Yi's apprentice, taking the new name of Wukong and wielding a mighty staff. Its a nice, new spin on an old tale.

Wukong's design takes all the best parts of Chinese culture and puts it into a nice neat package. Bright red and gold, combined with spiky fur and a clever smile. Its a hard champion not to like and its a fitting tribute to Chinese culture.

4. Olaf, the Berserker
"He's got an axe or two to grind"
Some stereotypes aren't as bad as they seem at first glance. Olaf proves not only his great strength and skill, but also a cunning that makes him weary of the summoners in the Institute of War. Hailing from another island, he was thrown from a severe storm to the shores of Valoran. While he does wish to go home, Olaf realizes the great power the summoners wield and knows best what information to best keep secret.
His design highlights some of the best parts of Viking culture: woven fur boots, large metal axes and a helmet with horns on the side. Include a raggly blond beard, a large belt buckle, and a display of confidence in his eyes, and you've got the Berserker in the nutshell.

3. Ahri, the 9-Tailed Fox
"Insert your own furry joke here, if you wish"
Another character based on Asian culture, Ahri's story does begin with her as a fox longing to be human. However, this paths involves her taking the life essences of other people. Surprisingly, he disliked doing such a thing and wanted to find a way to become more human without doing such harm. Its a surprising display of human empathy, something that I've really liked in this character.

Her design, of course, plays off of the Asian culture. Aside form her pale skin and blake hair, Ahri carries the traits that befit her title as '9-Tailed Fox'. Her large, white tales, black ears and small whiskers not only fit her, but also add that alluring quality to her that makes her quite a catch. No doubt, there have already been naked pictures of her somewhere on the internet.

2. Volibear, the Thunder's Roar
"Arrogant enough to pick a fight with the clouds"
Volibear is kind of what you would expect from a name like that: a giant polar bear who fights with lightning. However, its his honor, bravery and foresight that makes him stand out. Having seen a vision where his race, the Ursine, are all killed off, Volibear has aligned with Frejord to try and prevent such a future from happening.

His overall looks makes him really stand out. After all, how often do you see a giant polar bear dressed in shining armor and blue orbs, wielding lightning with its bare hands? Not a lot, of course. This just speaks for itself.

And my #1 favorite Champion is...

Graves, the Outlaw!
"Hope you don't have a 'dead man's hand'"
Grave's back-story immediately drew me to this guy. As an outlaw, he's aligned himself with another champion, Twisted Fate. However, one deal got Graves on the shaft end and locked up, with Twisted Fate gaining magical powers. Having broken out and gotten his hands on a nice shotgun, Graves is looking to even the score. The gray-ness of this story makes it hard to pick which side to be on. At least I know whose side I will stand by...

The look is great, making the outlaw look like a badass cowboy: spurs n boots, long studded cape and a grizzled, ornery face only a mother could love and a man can respect. Not only that, but he totes a custom-made 'hextech' shotgun, with the intent on gunning down Twisted Fate. Sometimes bigger is better and an extra-large shotgun just makes the world seem brighter.

Well, that's my first Top 10 post. I hope you enjoyed it.

Until next time...
